Holly is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College, and a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Since 2019, Holly has worked in a variety of roles within the mental health and substance use fields, supporting individuals and families through healing, growth, and change. Her experience has primarily focused on working with adults and youth experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Throughout her career, Holly has supported individuals experiencing a wide range of life challenges, including trauma, substance use, involvement with the Department of Social Services, chronic homelessness, poverty, life setbacks, and general mental health concerns.
These experiences have deepened her understanding of the many factors that can impact a person's wellbeing and she strives to meet each individual with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment, while honoring the experiences and strengths they bring into the therapeutic relationship.
Holly is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) strategies. She thoughtfully integrates these approaches based on each individual’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
Above all, Holly believes that counseling is a collaborative process. She is honored to walk alongside each person as they work toward healing, greater self-understanding, and a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who they are.

Beginning counseling can feel both exciting and overwhelming. My goal is to make the process as comfortable and approachable as possible. In our first sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to counseling, exploring your history and experiences, and identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. Counseling is not about being judged, fixed, or told what to do. Instead, it is a collaborative process where we work together to understand challenges, develop insight, and create sustainable change.
You can expect our sessions to be grounded in compassion, honesty, respect, and curiosity. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and past experiences, while others may involve learning practical coping skills, exploring new perspectives, or creating actionable steps toward your goals. We will move at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for you.
I believe that every person has a story worth understanding, and healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and valued. My approach is holistic and person-centered, recognizing that wellbeing is shaped by many parts of our lives, including our relationships, experiences, strengths, and challenges.
I strive to create a space built on trust, authenticity, and compassion, where you can show up exactly as you are. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor counseling to your unique needs, goals, and values. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support meaningful and lasting change. Whether you're working through a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am honored to walk alongside you.
My hope is that our work together helps you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges, and more aligned with the life you want to create.
I have intentionally created a space that feels comfortable, cozy, welcoming, and a little whimsical. My office is designed to provide a sense of warmth and safety where you can take a deep breath, slow down, and simply be yourself.
I believe therapy spaces should feel human and inviting rather than clinical or intimidating. Whether you're sharing difficult experiences, celebrating growth, or sitting quietly with emotions that are hard to put into words, my hope is that you feel supported, accepted, and at ease throughout your time here.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate life's challenges, changes, and opportunities for growth. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I strive to create a space where you feel supported, accepted, and genuinely heard.
I work especially well with individuals who value a collaborative approach and are open to exploring both practical tools and deeper self-understanding. Together, we'll build on your strengths, make sense of your experiences, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. My hope is that our work feels empowering, healing, and grounded in who you are and where you want to go.
